You will wait oh yes, you will wait, pay attentiion, you might miss it. Look up 'fabricating claims', 'De Jure', declaring war, making alliances, building castles, upgrading units, anything you can think of you should be able to do easily in any other game you will not be doing that in this game. Unless you like elevator music.than maybe. Then there is the warning that loss of title on on and on.lots of youtube tutorials and when you find out how you will not be impressed. you can form a duchy out of some provinces you control and create a new title.google it on youtube and see how you do it because evey time I play this game that's what I do. One message you get in Crusader Kings II. after years of buying games from Paradox I now understand why they named the company.buying games I actually hate but love yet still hate.being a fan of Paradox games is a neurotic condition.lol.(i've even bought a few of the "Supreme Leader games.also crap.) the answer to your question is avoid it and the 'DLC' like you would the plague.including the Reaper's due.which has the plague in it and some other diseases.I wonder what genius came up with that one.lol , I usually forget about it for a few months, forget how frustrating it can be to play so I give it another try only to stop after a few hours bleary eyed, digusted and frustrated that there are no other games based on the middle ages like it and how close it comes to actually being a good game and all the things that make it the crap that it really is but no one seems to care or notice but me.which is funny in a way. Trying to figure out what you can and cannot do and who is who, what relationships they have.and on and on.its just a tedious mess of a game. I just got through playing Crusader Kings II for two hours as the Vikings, it's like they put just enough in this game to keep you playing but as you play it you notice all the things you cannot do that should be easy to do, like researching technologies so you can actually see their effects in time at an accelrated pace in a form of condensed time but in this game, as in all Paradox games based on the infamous "Clausewitz' engine, you will have to wait, it might take hours, it might take days, it might take weeks of playing the same game but you will wait to do all sorts of things in this game.in the meantime.keep handing out those titles, making those worthless plots, running your army all over the map, arranging marriages and betrothals, keeping your 'council' members from revolting.google it, it's not as cool as it sounds. ![]() But, when they patch the game, and they have many screws it up along with other mods. there's a real winner.there is a mod by the same name for free that is ten times more professionally done than the one you buy from Paradox. But not completely, that's for more DLC at a later Ruler Designer DLC. This is why Paradox sells actual DLC that tries to alleviate this boring design characterisitic, they made the game that way so they could make you pay more money to actually finish it. The reason being is the game is kind of lifeless, the artistic value is mediocre and lacks color and vibrancy, style. Not easily, but by clicking the provinces on the map, I hope you have a great memory for amateurish portraits or you can remember names and titles or maybe banners? If you actually took notes you'd probably have a few hundred pages in a few hours. this is what you will spend most of your time doing. It's an intricate game based on feudal relationships and finding out who is who and where they belong, what belongs to them, who they are related to, how they are related, alliances, entanglements, intrigues. It is not a user friendly game, not in the least. What I don't understand is it could be a cool game I just wish Paradox hadn't of made it. It's not so much a game, as a simulation. ![]() The DLC does very little to nothing to alleviate this frustration factor or the waiting. I have never played a game that frustrates as much as this one based on the effort it takes just to play the damn thing.Īvoid it if you have the will, it will drive you crazy. This game sucks hard.everything you do in it takes time, simple things are not simply done.
